Computer integrated systems design

QuestMore designs and integrates the control systems, telemetry links and machine interfaces that let plants, utilities and logistics fleets run as one coordinated system. Shaanxi Wenduo Network Technology Co., Ltd. delivers every discipline below from a single studio, so that design, build and commissioning answer to one accountable team.

The Six Disciplines

What we design, integrate and commission

Each service below can stand alone for a focused upgrade or combine into a full site integration. Together they cover the whole path from an instrumented process to a control room that trusts its own data.

SERVICE ONE

Control System Architecture

Architecture is the drawing that decides everything after it. QuestMore starts by mapping the process into control loops, states and failure modes, then places controllers, networks and power in a hierarchy that can survive a single fault without taking the plant down. We decide where control lives, which signals are safety critical and how each layer degrades when communications are lost.

The deliverable is a reviewed architecture set covering network segmentation, redundancy strategy, controller placement, time synchronisation and the decision rights of each layer. Because the drawing is agreed before procurement, clients avoid the common trap of buying equipment that cannot support the control philosophy they actually need. The architecture also becomes the contract against which commissioning is measured, which keeps later disputes technical rather than personal.

For plants, this discipline usually begins with a survey of existing drawings and a short interview round with operators and maintenance leads. For fleets, it begins with a site inventory and a review of how remote assets are powered and reached. Either way, the output is a design a field technician can follow years later without calling the original engineer.

SERVICE TWO

SCADA and Telemetry Integration

Remote assets rarely sit on one tidy network. QuestMore integrates radio, cellular and fibre links into a single supervisory layer with consistent polling, sensible timeouts and tested failover. Remote terminal units are configured, labelled and documented, so that a field technician can service a site without guessing which register maps to which valve.

We design the supervisory layer around the operator rather than the protocol. Alarms are grouped by plant area, stale data is marked clearly and the loss of a link produces a specific, actionable message instead of a general communications fault. Telemetry is proven on the bench and then on site, with link budgets recorded for every remote station so that future expansions are planned against real numbers.

Utilities use this service to bring substations, pumping stations and metering points into one view. Logistics operators use it to follow fleets and yard equipment. In both cases the outcome is the same: live state instead of a delayed summary, and a network that behaves predictably when one path fails.

SERVICE THREE

Industrial Data Pipelines

Readings are only useful when they arrive clean, on time and in the system that needs them. QuestMore designs industrial data pipelines that collect from controllers and instruments, normalise units and timestamps, apply quality flags and route the result into historians, dashboards and enterprise systems. We treat data movement as engineered infrastructure with owners, tests and alarms rather than a script someone runs by hand.

Each pipeline includes backfill behaviour for network outages, buffer handling at the edge and a defined retention policy. We add health monitoring that flags a stalled feed before the morning production report exposes it. Where business systems consume plant data, we map tags to business meaning so that engineering and finance argue from the same numbers at last.

Pipelines are load tested with synthetic traffic that mimics peak shifts, and every transform is documented with its input, output and failure mode. The result is data that can be trusted in a control decision, a maintenance plan or a regulatory return without a manual reconciliation step in between.

SERVICE FOUR

Human-Machine Interface Design

An operator under pressure reads a screen in seconds or not at all. QuestMore designs mimic displays, alarm pages and trend tools around the decisions people actually make during a shift. The important number sits where the eye lands first, abnormal conditions are visually distinct without relying on colour alone, and navigation follows the process rather than the tag database.

We run interface review sessions with the crews who will live with the result, then revise the layouts before coding begins. Alarm philosophy is a core part of this service: we reduce standing alarms, group related events and make sure a genuine first-out trip cannot be buried by a flood of consequential messages. Trends are configured to answer questions rather than display every available pen.

The deliverable includes screen standards, navigation maps and a style guide so that future additions look and behave like the original system. Consistency is not decoration; it is what lets a new operator transfer skill from one area of the plant to another without relearning a different design language on every page.

SERVICE FIVE

Legacy System Modernization

Proven machines deserve a second life. QuestMore modernises legacy control systems by wrapping existing controllers with modern communications, replacing what is genuinely unsupportable and leaving the sound mechanical assets in service. We treat the existing plant as an asset to be understood, not a blank sheet to be erased.

Every migration is planned around a defined cutover window. We pre-build and bench test replacement panels, run parallel operation where the process allows it and prepare a rollback path for the first days after changeover. Operators are trained before cutover, not after, and the new system is documented to the same standard as a greenfield installation.

The service typically covers controller replacement, network upgrades, historian migration and the careful removal of obsolete field wiring. Where a legacy system must remain for regulatory reasons, we integrate it rather than fight it, giving the plant a single operating view while the old equipment finishes its useful life at low risk.

SERVICE SIX

Commissioning and Round-the-Clock Support

A system is not finished when it powers on. QuestMore proves each installation against its design, tunes control loops on real load and verifies alarms, interlocks and data paths in the order the plant will use them. Commissioning is documented as a signed set of test records, so the client holds evidence of what was proven and when.

After handover we remain reachable every hour of the year. Support agreements define response windows, spare strategy, remote diagnostics and periodic health reviews. Our duty line exists for the night shift as much as for office hours, because failures rarely respect a calendar. Clients under support can reach the studio directly rather than starting a new procurement conversation.

Round-the-clock coverage is part of the deliverable rather than an optional extra. We consider uptime the only metric that matters once a plant is running, and we staff to that belief. Regular reviews examine alarm trends, feed health and loop performance so that small drifts are corrected long before they become trips.

Process Overview

How the six services come together

A full integration moves through four stages. Architecture sets the frame, telemetry and data build the nervous system, interface design shapes what people see, and commissioning proves the whole machine. Legacy modernisation threads through every stage when older equipment is involved.

1. Survey and Baseline

We measure the process, inventory the assets and record current uptime and data quality so improvements can be proven, not asserted.

2. Design and Review

Architecture, network and interface drawings are produced and reviewed with the client before any procurement is released.

3. Integrate and Test

Panels, controllers, telemetry links and pipelines are built and bench tested away from the live process to keep production safe.

4. Commission and Sustain

Cutover runs inside an agreed window, loops are tuned on real load and round-the-clock support begins under a written agreement.
